What a great night! Our pretty little downtown Bridgewater was transformed into the most fun, festive, frightful Halloween fiesta! Witches and goblins and ghosts and ghoulies wandered the streets with gore and glee. With the town ofBridgewater joining us this year for Trunk or Treat, the event became such a wonderful, fun and safe place for kids to be. Thank you to Katherine Vickstrom of the Bridgewater Rec Commission for working with us to make it a true community event, and thank you to Dennis and Rich, our friendly police officers, for managing the traffic and keeping the roads safe for all our trick-or-treaters.

There are so many people in our church who made this night all that it was. Sharon Carlson and Barbara Stern were the masterminds on our end….and that’s no small task. From organizing the dinner and decorating the parish house from room to room and floor to ceiling, they made a lot of hard work look practically effortless. Gene and Aaron Cox were the kitchen wizards, preparing a delicious ziti dinner and keeping us in perfect compliance with health department regulations. Everybody pitched in in so many ways from setup and serving to clean-up and counting: Peggy Anson,Linda Burton, Peter Hammond, Sharon Harvey, Lori Isaac, Helen Jackson, Dick and Wendy Jones, Jane McGrath, Fred Stern, Janeand Dan Storrs. And thank you to all the creative “Trunkers.” There was some seriously clever decorating this year! And thank you to all who came to dinner and donated to UNICEF. We raised $404.02 (every penny counts!).
